Not what was planned... but still fun!

So today is the last day of Gametober 2023.

The result of this experiment was... interesting. When I started working on the first game, I was intending to make more narratively focussed games throughout the month with more effort put into them than the games I ended up making.

However, I quickly realised that wasn't gonna happen (at least not the first time I attempted this), so I went EXTREMELY simple and made goofy minigames with basically zero narrative whatsoever.

And ya know what? I'm good with that. This was definitely more fun and less stressful than the original plan would have been, and I got some experience out of it, too.

Overall, I'd say this was a successful first effort and it was nice to maintain a daily routine of game development for a month. If you played any of the games in this project, thank you very much!

There are a few bugs I encountered when playing through it earlier, but I'm not sure if I'll fix them... nothing seemed COMPLETELY broken and every game could still technically be finished, so I'm not gonna worry about patching anything right now (because I'm kinda lazy and tired...).

Anyway! Thanks a lot for reading my first ever postmortem on my first ever Gametober project!

Take care of yourself and have a happy Halloween!

-Jason
